Aragón, 26 September: the Aragón GP opening day saw LCR Honda’s Stefan Bradl working hard with his crew for finding the most suitable set-up for his RCV on the track where he has been always fast and consistent. Bradl compared both bikes ending the day in 8th place (1’49.002) and he is looking to repeat his 2013 result here on Sunday.
Stefan: “It was a productive first day for us as we started the weekend trying to find the right pace for this track. It took us a bit of time to finalize our set up because this morning I was not sure which kind of direction we should go: more the handling side or the rear grip side. So I tried both bikes with a different setting and I could go faster on both settings. Finally we also tried the hard tyre in the rear and the soft, so at the end of the day we have tried many things. I think we will go for the setting with more rear grip. We are P8 at the moment but the gap is very close, so with small adjustments we should be able to end in top five on Sunday”.

Misano, 14 September: without any doubt the LCR racer Stefan Bradl was hoping for a different race at the crowded Misano circuit with more than 54.000 fans celebrating Valentino Rossi’s extraordinary victory. Bradl failed to challenge the front riders as he fell out in lap seven. As happened in Mugello, the German was not able to perform as expected but he luckily escaped unhurt from the accident and will be back in action at Aragon circuit in less than two weeks.
Stefan: “I am very disappointed because we crashed in a very good situation. The race was good from the beginning because I took a good start from the forth row. I saw that I was faster than Aleix Espargaro but it took a while to pass him. Finally I made it and managed to close the gap with the front group quickly but suddenly, in turn 13 in a left corner, I lost the front. I am very sorry because the whole Team made an excellent job this weekend especially for Lucio. We could have done a good job finishing in 5th or 6th place because our lap time was quite fast”.

Misano, 13 September: as expected the second day of action at Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli was conducted in sunny and warm conditions with MotoGP riders fine-tuning their bikes for dry conditions after yesterday’s wet outing. It was an intense day for Stefan Bradl and his crew as the German had to ride his RCV through Q1 finishing 10th overall in Q2 after a small crash in his fastest lap (1’33.995).
Stefan: “Busy day for us today. In the morning free session I could not find my pace and we probably made too many changes on the bike since yesterday. So I was not able to get my personal pace. So we had to go through Q1, which was also a bit tricky, and finally we managed to go to Q2. Unfortunately I suffered a small crash in a slow corner in my flying lap but I think it does not make any difference. We could have been a bit faster for sure and qualify in 5th or 6th position but I am not worried about the 10th place on the grid. I am pretty satisfied about our race pace as we saw in free practice 4 and this is very important for tomorrow’s 28 laps race”.

Misano, 12 September: the San Marino and Riviera di Rimini Grand Prix commenced today in wet conditions with many riders crashing out of the 4.226m soaked race track. But the LCR racer Stefan Bradl, who is a fan of the twisting Adriatic Coast circuit, qualified 4th in the morning first free session and 7th in the afternoon practice (1’50.848).
Stefan: “We started the weekend in very bad conditions because it rained a lot and the surface was really slippery. We saw many crashes in all classes, which is very unusual. For us it was not that bad because I found my pace in the wet in both sessions making only few laps and this is good. This means that we quickly adapted to the tricky conditions but tomorrow it’s going to be different if the weather is sunny, then we must restart from zero”.

Silverstone, 31 August: LCR rider Stefan Bradl rode his CWM RCV Honda to the 7th place today in the Silverstone GP scoring further important points for the standing at six races to go. The German, who qualified ninth yesterday after two awful crashes, struggled early in the race accusing some lack of rear grip but steadily continued to catch the riders in front.
Stefan: “Overall it’s not a bad result for us. I took a good start from the third row but in the beginning of the race I made a big mistake and dropped to 13th place. After that I did my best to repair the situation trying to get closer to the guys in front of me. I could catch them but suddenly Smith had a technical issue and I got stuck behind him. Once again I had to regain my pace but in the last laps I passed Iannone and Bautista (who crashed at two laps to go) and managed to finish 7th. We missed some rear grip since the first part of the race so we will work on this point before Misano”.

Silverstone, 30 August: after yesterday’s impressive 2nd position on day one at Silverstone race track, LCR rider Stefan Bradl was convinced that more had to come from his CWM Honda machine but the former Moto2 World Champion ran into two crashes before the QP2. He escaped unhurt from both incidents but he missed some confidence to set a proper quick lap time in the afternoon showdown. Bradl will start from the third row on the grid for the 20-lap race, which will start at 13:00 local time.
Stefan: “Yesterday we finished the day in a very good position but unfortunately today the situation turns around and we are back in 9th position. So it’s definitively a disappointing day. This morning we had a really high-speed crash due to a big windblast that made me loose the front. The bike was very damaged and we had to use the other bike for the FP4 with a harder front tyre because we kept the softer for the qualifying. Probably the hard tyre was not the right choice because we crashed another time in the breaking area so our QP2 was made to get back some confidence and P9 is the maximum I could do. I am really frustrated and I am sorry for the mechanics because they have a lot to do to fix both bikes for tomorrow. Anyway we have to think positive trying to score as many points as possible”.

Silverstone, 29 August: the premier class runners experienced typical British weather at Silverstone circuit for the first day of action. Cloudy skies and poor rain accompanied the riders throughout the day with LCR racer Stefan Bradl posting the second fastest lap time (2’02.635) behind the leader Marc Marquez. The German riding the CWM LCR Honda machine immediately recorded impressive lap times on the British soil and he is searching for more feeling on used rubber ahead tomorrow’s qualifying.
Stefan: “I think it was a very good day for us. We started our weekend as per our plan after the improvement we had in Brno test session. Actually we have just made some small modifications in the right direction so I was able to take a good advantage of all the tyres of the day. I am happy with this first day of work at Silverstone and about the lap time but we still need to improve our consistency especially on used tyres”.

Brno, 17 August: at Brno race track in front of 138.300 warm fans, Pedrosa broke the record of his teammate Marquez with winning the 11th round of the season followed by the Yamaha riders Lorenzo and Rossi. The LCR Honda rider Stefan Bradl rode his CWM RC213V to a positive seventh place scoring further important points, which saw him going up in the standing to the 9th place. Bradl will remain at Brno race track for a post-GP testing day starting tomorrow at 10:00am.
Stefan: “After the last difficult weekends we had recently, we can be quite happy with this result. Anyway it was a hard weekend for us because we lost our way a little bit on Saturday morning and we had to go through Q1 working hard to be back to our standard shape. I did not take a perfect start because we lost some acceleration due to some wheelie. I tried to catch the guys in front of me, Dovi and Iannone, but for some reasons I could not go the same speed as I was struggling with my front tyre as soon as the rear started to drop. The seventh place is quite good but it would be even better to beat the Ducati guys”.

Brno, 16 August: today’s second outing at Brno race track has been a bit tough for the LCR rider Stefan Bradl who had to contest for both qualifying sessions (for the second time in his premier class career). The German riding the CWM Honda machine experienced a difficult morning free session but his remarkable determination and the excellent job of his crew secured him the 8th spot (1’55.871) on the grid at the end of day two. Bradl will start from the third row on the grid between Rossi and Pol Espargaro.
Stefan: “Actually we have learned a lot today going through Q1 because we realized what went wrong in this morning third session when I finished only 11th. We took the wrong direction with the bike setting and some other components loosing a lot of time on the brake so I was not able to do a proper fast lap. But finally in the afternoon we went back to our normal setting improving in both, Q1 and Q2. I know that taking part at both qualifying sessions makes everybody nervous but we made a very good job. We are 0.2s off the pole position so it’s going to be a tough race tomorrow but the most important thing is to preserve the life of the rear tyre till the end”.

Brno, 15 August: after a little time to rest the MotoGP riders were back out on track for the opening day of the Grand Prix Ceské Republiky in mixed conditions. The morning session was dry with LCR Honda Stefan Bradl getting the 6th lap time riding his CWM branded RC213V but the second outing was affected by heavy rain. Despite the bad weather conditions Bradl could proceed with his TO DO list fine-tuning his machine even in the wet and feels pretty competitive in both conditions.
Stefan: “Actually today we are sixth overall in the combined practice which is okay. The good thing is that we only loose two tenths to the top guys. The consistency in the morning session was quite good and I am really optimistic for the weekend to have a good pace in the dry. In the afternoon we lapped in the wet with a good feeling. Now we want to go for some adjustments, both in the wet and in the dry, to improve the bike turning. So our weekend so far is okay”.
