Brno, 16 August: today’s second outing at Brno race track has been a bit tough for the LCR rider Stefan Bradl who had to contest for both qualifying sessions (for the second time in his premier class career). The German riding the CWM Honda machine experienced a difficult morning free session but his remarkable determination and the excellent job of his crew secured him the 8th spot (1’55.871) on the grid at the end of day two. Bradl will start from the third row on the grid between Rossi and Pol Espargaro.
Stefan: “Actually we have learned a lot today going through Q1 because we realized what went wrong in this morning third session when I finished only 11th. We took the wrong direction with the bike setting and some other components loosing a lot of time on the brake so I was not able to do a proper fast lap. But finally in the afternoon we went back to our normal setting improving in both, Q1 and Q2. I know that taking part at both qualifying sessions makes everybody nervous but we made a very good job. We are 0.2s off the pole position so it’s going to be a tough race tomorrow but the most important thing is to preserve the life of the rear tyre till the end”.
