STEFAN BRADL MISSES LUCK IN THE MUGELLO RACE

Sunday’s race at the Tuscany circuit ended prematurely for the 25 year young German rider after he was hit by another rider.

Bradl, who was leading the Open category till this accident, crashed out of the race during lap three after he made contact with Nicky Hayden fighting for the top spot in the Open class. Again a disappointing outcome of the weekend like it was already in case in Le Mans two weeks’ time ago.

#6 Stefan Bradl (Athinà Forward Racing, Yamaha Forward) – DNF, WM-Position 23 (1 Punkt):

“Unfortunately my race ended earlier than expected. I started well, I was fighting for victory in the Open class with Nicky Hayden, when I was hit from behind and found myself in the cravel with him without being able to do anything to avoid a collision. I do not know exactly what happened, but it’s really a shame because we have proven to be consistent this weekend and to see the chequered flag as first Open rider was within our goal.”
