Valencia GP: UNLUCKY CONCLUSION OF THE SEASON

Stefan Bradl was hampered during Sunday’s race in Valencia by a problem with the front brake.

The 2015 season ended for Bradl as unfortunate as it started. After a consistent strong performance on both days of practice, he qualified for P15 on the grid from where the Aprilia rider left the line in an excellent manner. However, he realized immediately a problem with the brake. Bradl was able to adapt quickly to the changed situation but he never was able to race his consistent fast rhythm.

#6 Stefan BRADL (Aprilia Racing Team Gresini, Aprilia) – 18th, World Championship position 18th (17 points):

“It’s a pity how things went today because we were fast and consistent throughout the entire weekend and we were well prepared for the race. However, we were unable to repeat our strong performance from practice sessions today. We endured a strange problem with the brake, I didn’t feel comfortable on braking. I struggled to stop the bike so I was forced to use the rear brake a lot. In doing so, I stressed the rear tyre too much. That was the reason that I didn’t have any grip during the last laps and I dropped back quite a few positions. About this fact, I was very disappointed. It’s a shame because I had different plans for today and I would had like to conclude this championship on a high of course.”
